We all
have times throughout our daily lives when we may feel a
little "down" or we may become discouraged over a previous
encounter. In unguarded moments, we stumble and fail by
yielding to something that we know is not right. We are just
human. But have you ever heard the saying, "When life hands
you lemons, MAKE LEMONADE!"?
When we
are down and out of sorts with ourselves, and all is
going wrong around us, we need to GET UP, shake ourselves
off, and START OVER! There is something far worse than
falling down! That is staying down! If you are a Christian,
you will not be content to "stay down" ~ you will want to be
restored!
Not one
of us is exempt from sin. But when we admit our failures and
ask God for His forgiveness, He restores us. Once restored,
we GET UP and START OVER! God knows our struggles and our
failures . . . everyone of them! And He waits for us to seek
His guidance in all of them.
Before
Jesus went to the cross for us, He knew that we would
continue to struggle with sin, so He made provision for our
daily cleansing. He made it possible for us to make a fresh
start each day by taking time to confess our sins, to admit
our weaknesses, our failures, and to ask God for His
strength to do what He wants us to do. As we depend on the
Lord's grace and strength, we become aware of what victory
is. Then, and only then, will we be able to truly GET UP and
START OVER!
